A summer kiwi tradition is to go berry picking at the local vineyards for fresh raspberries, strawberries and boysenberries. One of my co-worker’s that I have become friends with invited me to join her last week! Since she isn’t kiwi either, we were both entering unchartered waters. It was so fun! I got a chance to get to know Tanya better which is always fun to make more friends. One of my favorite things about living here is learning about other cultures. Tanya is from South Africa and is also a newlywed. Her and her husband just recently moved here to Nelson to make it their permanent home. We snapped a few pictures of our berry picking adventure – unfortunately the berries were eaten too quick before I remembered to take a picture! =)
